Jukka Tiitinen, Area President, North America, has decided to retire after a long and successful career at Valmet. Jukka Tiitinen will step down from his role on 31 December 2024 and handover to an interim Head of North America in January 2025.

Jukka is a home-grown Valmeteer with vast experience from many different organizations and cultures, and he has been a trusted member of Valmet’s Executive Team since 2013. I have enjoyed working with Jukka and wish him all the best in his up-coming well-deserved retirement days,” says Thomas Hinnerskov, President and CEO, Valmet.

The search for Jukka Tiitinen’s successor as Area President, North America, will commence in 2025.

Valmet has been awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment, placing the company among the top 5% of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide. EcoVadis evaluates companies across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Valmet’s overall score was 82/100, six points higher than last year. Valmet Modernizes the Turbine Automation at Ennatuurlijk Helmond Power Plant

Valmet has received an order to deliver a comprehensive replacement of plant DCS and turbine control systems at the Ennatuurlijk’s combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in Helmond, the Netherlands. The modernization project will enhance the plant’s operational efficiency, reliability, and safety, while ensuring stable combined heat and power (CHP) production. The project also supports the company’s long-term commitment to achieving carbon neutrality.
