Change in the Board of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association

Last year, the Wilo Group submitted its targets for decreasing their CO2 emission to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The short- and long-range emission reduction targets have now been confirmed by the initiative.

During the media day at the rowing training centre in Dortmund, the German Men’s Eight unveiled their rowing boat crews for the competitive season ahead. The team, consisting of the German Eight, the Quads and Doubles without coxswain, is heading into a year with huge sporting significance.

The Wilo Group continued to grow profitably and sustainably in 2023. Despite a challenging market environment, the multinational technology group achieved record net sales of around EUR 2 billion in the 2023 financial year. This corresponds to a currency-adjusted increase of 10.4 per cent compared to the previous year.

The Wilo Group is expanding its sponsorship of the Borussia Dortmund sports club. In future, the multinational technology group will also support girls’ and women’s football teams at Borussia Dortmund. Wilo is also expanding its sponsorship of the Borussia Dortmund women’s handball team and will become a partner of all youth teams.

The Wilo Group has received the prestigious Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award (MIMA). A jury of leading experts from industry and science have recognised the multinational technology group in the “Add Value!” category for the adaptive worker assistance that has been deployed in the Smart Factory at the Wilopark in Dortmund.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Axel Stepken, CEO of TÜV SÜD Stiftung, will stand for election by shareholders as a new member of the Supervisory Board of GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft at the Annual General Meeting on April 30, 2024. In the event of his election, the Supervisory Board has appointed him as a member of the Supervisory Board’s Presiding and Sustainability Committee.
