Following yet another comprehensive and robust Judging Session, which this year was held virtually on 27th January, the Finalists in the 2022 Pump Industry Awards have been determined.

The Minister of the Environment, Nature and Transport of the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Oliver Krischer, visited the Wilopark in Dortmund. While speaking with the President and CEO of the Wilo Group, Oliver Hermes, Krischer learnt about the H2POWERPLANT, which is used at Wilo’s headquarters.

EMW Pump Reduces Maintenance Needs by Three Quarters

After years of changing new casings and propellers every three months to their process pump, a metal industry operator switched their worn-out pump to one of Sulzer’s EMW slurry pumps at their melt shop. The client considered the change a leap forward in their slurry pumping technology since the maintenance interval grew significantly, pump efficiency improved, and the change reduced power consumption.

For the study, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) of RWTH Aachen and the Complexity Management Academy analysed the sustainable innovation management of over 140 companies.
