Over recent months, the membership of the Association of Electrical & Mechanical Trades (AEMT) has enjoyed further expansion with several key businesses coming into the fold.

The first of these is Newton Electrical Equipment Co. Inc., a leading provider of 24/7 Emergency Repair Services for Electric Motors, Generators and Transformers. Based in the Philippines, its vision is to be a world-class and the preferred electro-mechanical service partner in Asia, providing fully integrated in-shop and on-site services for Turbine and Hydro Generators, Diesel Generators, Excitation System, Vibration Analysis, Precision Balancing and Power Distribution Transformers. Its mechanical services offering covers the manufacturing of shafts, commutator and collector rings, rebar/restack, and laser alignment.

The second company to enjoy the benefits offered by the AEMT is ACORN®, a leading stockist of engineering components and an authorised distributor for many word-class component manufacturers. Its highly experienced product experts offer technical advice, training, and support on a comprehensive range of products, including bearings & housings, power transmission, couplings, maintenance equipment and linear motion, actuation technologies.

The third company to join the AEMT and begin reaping the rewards of membership is Indonesia based DWIM Elektrikal Nusantarta. An electrical and mechanical service company with expertise in low and high voltage electrical motors, generators, and transformers, it can provide both workshop and on-site services. With highly experienced engineers and comprehensive workshop facilities, the business has implemented ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 throughout its operation.

Bradford based Rotor Technical Services has also made the move into AEMT membership. The company provides a comprehensive sales and repair service for AC/DC electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, inverters and also offers on-site services. A team of highly experienced engineers, working from its purpose-built workshop, provide a same day collection and delivery service, that is backed up by its 24/7 out of hours service.

And finally, Saudi based Al-Samamat Industrial Services has signed-up to be a member of the AEMT. Established in 1995, a pioneer in mechanical and electrical engineering in the region, the company has built an enviable reputation for performance and reliability. Its service offering now includes valve testing & overhauling, gauge calibration, electric motor & generator rewinds, machining-welding & fabrication, non-destructive testing, and telecommunications & fibre optics.
