ACHEMA 2022: The World Forum for the Process Industries on Site in Frankfurt Again

15.10.2021
After ACHEMA Pulse 2021 – the pioneering digital event for the process industry – ACHEMA 2022 is back in Frankfurt: from 4 to 8 April 2022, the Frankfurt Fairground will once again be the meeting place for the global process industries. In times of a pandemic, a comprehensive hygiene concept ensures that personal exchange and networking are once again possible in safety on site.

"After a two-year dry spell, the need for intensive technical and personal exchange is palpable", says Dr Thomas Scheuring, CEO DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH. This is also reflected in the increasing exhibitor demand: currently, more than 2,400 exhibitors have already registered, who will present their range of products, solutions and services for the process industries on more than 100,000 square metres.

"I sense a great spirit of optimism in the chemical industry. The urge to push ahead with new projects to build the global circular economy as well as to reduce greenhouse gas emissions continues to grow. I am sure: because of the magnitude of the tasks, cooperation will be the key to success. The personal exchange at ACHEMA can provide an initial spark for further initiatives and cooperations. After long discussions about goals, we are now talking about solutions. I'm looking forward to it," emphasises Dr Klaus Schäfer, Covestro's Chief Technology Officer.

Trendsetting technology and global networking will continue to characterise the world's leading trade fair in 2022. Manufacturers and service providers from almost 50 nations will present their products for the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, energy and environmental sectors. Founders and young entrepreneurs will meet in the Start-up Area.

"Every ACHEMA is close to my heart - whether virtual or real. Next year, I am looking forward to inspiring customer meetings and exchanges with the community. We want to give our customers impulses on how we can implement the digital transformation together. Specifically, we want to share our expertise from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries," adds Eckard Eberle, CEO Process Automation at Siemens.

"As a major industrial employer in the Rhine-Main region and a traditional exhibitor, ACHEMA has always had a very special significance for SAMSON," says Dr Andreas Widl, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of SAMSON AG. "We are very much looking forward to meeting our customers and partners in person again in 2022, presenting technological innovations and discussing the opportunities and challenges of the future together."

This is exactly what ACHEMA 2022 will address with the focus topics "Modular and Networked Production", "The Digital Lab" and "Product and Process Security". The megatopics of digitalisation and climate neutrality are also moving even more into the focus of ACHEMA with the "Digital Hub" and the "Green Innovation Zone".

ACHEMA is the world forum for chemical engineering, process engineering and biotechnology. Every three years the world’s leading show for the process industry takes place in Frankfurt. At ACHEMA 2018, around 3,800 exhibitors from more than 50 countries presented their innovations to some 145,000 professionals around the world. The spectrum ranges from laboratory equipment, pumps and analytical devices to packaging machinery, boilers and stirrers through to safety technology, materials and software, thus covering the entire needs of the chemical, pharmaceutical and food production industries. The accompanying congress, featuring scientific lectures and numerous guest and partner events, complements the wide range of themes of the exhibition. The next ACHEMA will take place from 4 – 8 April 2022 in Frankfurt am Main.
