The countdown is on: bauma, the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment, will start in Munich in a few weeks’ time. From 7 to 13 April, more than 3,500 exhibitors from 57 countries will be presenting their latest machines, technologies and innovations on a total of 614,000 square meters of exhibition space.

With 2.2 billion people lacking safe water, communities, businesses, and NGOs are taking bold action this World Water Day to accelerate solutions. From March 17-22, thousands of volunteers worldwide will mobilize to improve water security – through cleanups, education programs, and projects expanding access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).

EnigmaREACH is an all-in-one correlating kit, comprising 32 or 64 acoustic leak loggers, an app to guide technicians through logger deployment, retrieval and follow-up, and access to Ovarro’s automated data analytics platform.

Sulzer announces the acquisition of Davies and Mills, an electromechanical services (EMS) provider based in Bahrain. With this acquisition, Sulzer expands its regional footprint in the Middle East to six service locations, welcoming 53 former Davies and Mills employees to the Sulzer family in Bahrain. The acquisition was concluded in January 2025, bringing exceptional expertise to Sulzer’s portfolio.

UK Water Industry Research (UKWIR) announced the appointment of Mike Rose as new chief executive officer with immediate effect. With a career including senior positions in utilities and global consultancy organisations, Rose brings diverse experience to UKWIR. His appointment comes at a crucial time for the water sector, with challenges including climate change & resilience, improvements in river water quality and evolving customer expectations.
