New Project Management and Shorter Duration of Event at Wasser Berlin International

19.07.2017

Melanie Winter has taken over as project manager of Wasser Berlin International. With over seven years of trade fair experience Melanie Winter, who was born in Berlin, had previously occupied a number of positions at Messe Berlin and in July 2014 joined the project management of Wasser Berlin International.

“I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead. Together with our partners we aim to build on Wasser Berlin International’s role as a leading trade fair and congress for the water industry in Germany“, said Winter. Aged 43, she takes over from Cornelia Wolff von der Sahl, who will continue in an advisory role at Wasser Berlin until she retires in 2018.

Shorter duration of the event

Another new aspect of Wasser Berlin International 2019 will be the shorter duration of the event. From 26 to 28 March 2019 over a period of three days (previously four) the trade fair and congress, which is part of the event, will showcase the entire range of products and services from the national and international water industry on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. ”Shortening the event was the logical result of adapting the Wasser Berlin International concept to create a compact marketing platform for the water industry with a concentrated and informative supporting program”, said Matthias Steckmann, Executive Director at Messe Berlin. Following this year’s trade fair a majority of exhibitors and trade visitors had requested a shorter running time.

Early Bird rates until 15 January 2018

Companies who register by 15 January 2017 can secure a 15 per cent discount on stand rental fees. Application forms are now available here.

Tried and tested trade fair concept

The focus of Wasser Berlin International will continue to be on presenting the latest technologies and services and organizing a dialogue between senior figures in industry and politics from around the world. In 2019 the accompanying congress as well as numerous forums and symposiums will have information for trade visitors on up-to-the-minute water industry topics. Formats will include No Dig, Flood Management, Water from Wells, the Blue Planet Berlin Water Dialogues and Schaustelle Wasser.
