Mark E. Lang Appointed Corporate Controller of ITT Industries

ITT Industries, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Mark E. Lang to Corporate Controller. Lang was previously Vice President - Finance and Controller at ITT's Fluid Technology unit.

In his new role, he will report to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Ed Williams. "Mark is a seasoned executive who brings a unique combination of financial expertise and experience in most of our diverse industries," Williams said. "He is a strong leader, and has played a critical role in increasing the awareness of ITT's focus on improving working capital. I know he will be a valuable addition to the corporate leadership team."

Lang joined ITT Industries in May 1999 as Vice President and Controller of the company's Defense Electronics & Services business in McLean, Virginia, and was named Vice President - Finance and Controller of ITT's Fluid Technology business in July 2002. Prior to joining ITT, Lang was with AMP, Inc., serving as controller for its Aerospace and Communications businesses, and was appointed Corporate Controller in 1998. Prior to that, Lang worked for Sundstrand Corporation and the U.S. Defense Contract Audit Agency. Lang holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration - Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and an MBA from Seattle University.
