Xylem Inc. announced the divestiture of its Wolverhampton, United Kingdom-based valves business, Xylem Flow Control Limited, to Rotork plc, a leading actuator manufacturer and flow control company, for approximately U.S. $30 million (£18 million). [Previously reported as U.S. $25 million].

Alfa Laval has completed the acquisition of Frank Mohn AS, following approval from competition authorities. The acquisition, which adds marine and offshore pumping systems, represents a significant business opportunity as it further strengthens Alfa Laval’s position as a provider of critical systems for marine and offshore oil and gas production units.

On June 13, Sulzer agreed to acquire both Grayson Armature businesses—Grayson Armature Large Motor Division, Inc. (Houston) and Grayson Armature Orange Texas, Inc.—for an enterprise value of USD 42 million (CHF 38 million). Through this acquisition, Sulzer will become one of the largest independent providers of electromechanical services in the Houston bay area.

Franklin Electric Co., announced that it has acquired Bombas Leão S.A., based in Monte Azul Paulista, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bombas Leão designs, manufactures, and distributes submersible groundwater pumping equipment through manufacturing facilities in Monte Azul Paulista, Teresina and a distribution facility in Recife. In 2013 Bombas Leão net revenues were approximately BRL 67 million or about US$ 30 million.

The Gorman-Rupp Company announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, National Pump Company, has completed its purchase of the business of Bayou City Pump, Inc. based in Houston, Texas. During 2013, BCP had approximately $16 million in revenue from sales of its products and services through its Houston, Texas headquarters and its service facility location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The terms of the asset purchase agreement are undisclosed.
