When Sewage Becomes a Problem: The CZ Series from Tsurumi Provides a Suitable Solution

Pump manufacturer Tsurumi is using IFAT 2026 to strengthen its position in the sewage sector. One of the highlights is the CZ pump series, which has been so successful since its market launch at the last IFAT that it is now becoming the Japanese company's flagship product.

And with good reason: the powerful CZ series is designed for sewage with a high solids and fibre content – an area of application in which conventional pumps often reach their limits. At the heart of the construction is a shredding system that differs significantly from other cutting mechanisms. A heart-shaped suction plate in combination with a sharp scissor mechanism ensures that problematic components such as textiles, wet wipes or solids are reliably captured and shredded before they enter the hydraulic area. The aim is to achieve continuous operation without blockages.

With motor outputs of up to 15 kW, the CZ series is designed for typical municipal applications where operational reliability, low maintenance and consistent delivery performance are paramount. According to the manufacturer, the series has established itself particularly in areas where frequent downtime, manual intervention or redundant pump concepts were previously required.

The pump range is complemented by solutions for the biological treatment stage. With its TRN submersible aerators, Tsurumi offers an established system for oxygenation that is characterised by its robust construction and low maintenance requirements. The units are particularly advantageous in municipal environments, as they can be flexibly integrated into existing basins and combined with other mixing and aeration components.

Another focus is the digitalisation of plant technology. With Tsurumi Connect, the manufacturer is pursuing an open approach: the system not only networks its own technology, but can also monitor and control electrical devices from other manufacturers. In doing so, Tsurumi is specifically addressing the reality of many sewage treatment plants, which consist of structures that have grown over time and involve multiple manufacturers. Condition monitoring, alarms and easy integration into existing systems are at the forefront.

Zenit Presents Grey CTG Pumps for High-Concentration Organic Wastewater Management

15.09.2025 -

Zenit Grey CTG submersible pumps are designed for handling high-concentration organic wastewater containing solids and fibrous materials in civil and industrial applications. Their distinctive feature is the innovative Zenit cutting system, which, by combining a channel impeller with sharp edge blades and a fixed blade on the suction flange, creates an effective scissor-like action that grinds solid and fibrous waste.
