Watson-Marlow Enhances Qdos CWT Pumps with Increased Pressure Capability

06.03.2024
Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) has significantly enhanced its Qdos Conveying Wave Technology (CWT) pumps by increasing their pressure capability. The pumps are now capable of delivering flow rates of 500 ml/min at pressures of up to 130 PSI (9 bar), a substantial increase from its previous capacity of 100 PSI (7 bar).

Qdos CWT delivers all the benefits of a peristaltic pump but with a significantly longer service life than traditional tube designs. The pump achieves superior accuracy in chemical metering and dosing applications while eliminating expensive ancillary equipment. The first pump using conveying wave technology on the market, the Qdos CWT provides an evolution in long-life chemical metering.

WMFTS has enhanced these market-changing pumps by adding a new track to the CWT pump heads that are optimised for the 9-bar pressure rating. The enhanced pump also features a slightly modified clamp ring design that has been upgraded to deliver this impressive pressure rating. This new upgraded pressure rating has been validated through rigorous testing. These tests included a 130 PSI (9 bar) operation with both water and sodium hypochlorite, proving the operating life and quality of the pumpheads.

WMTS has taken the evolution in long-life chemical metering a step further to satisfy requirements in even more demanding applications. The new and enhanced Qdos CWT stands ready to provide customers with long service life at a high pressure for fully reliable, low-maintenance metering.
