The 1800 Series is available in connection sizes up to 12 inches, offering two-way balanced and unbalanced models, as well as three-way mixing and diverting configurations. Capable of handling extreme temperatures from -20°F to 800°F, high-pressure drops, and corrosive fluids, these valves are ideal for industries such as chemical processing, district energy, food and beverage, marine, power, and refining.

The 1800 Series features standard body materials of cast iron, steel, or stainless steel with multiple trim materials and port sizes. The equal percentage and linear plugs in the two-way valves and linear plugs in the three-way valves provide precise modulation of fluid flow.

Two-way valves are designed to regulate flow in a single direction, making them well-suited for applications requiring straightforward modulation or on/off control. They are available in both balanced and unbalanced configurations, providing flexibility based on system pressure requirements. Three-way valves, on the other hand, are designed for mixing or diverting applications, allowing fluid to be directed between different pathways. These valves are essential for systems that require dynamic flow control and can help optimize performance in complex piping arrangements.

The robust bonnet construction ensures longevity and easy maintenance access. Guiding surfaces provide smooth operation and stem stability, while skirt-guided plug assemblies offer precise control. The lower unit allows for convenient trim replacement and debris removal.

Control and Pumping Speed: Matching Capacity to Demand for Maximum Efficiency

04.09.2026 -

One of the most effective ways to improve the energy efficiency of a vacuum system is to ensure that the operating capacity of the vacuum pump is aligned with the actual needs of the process. A vacuum pump that runs at full speed when the process demand is low wastes energy and can cause unnecessary wear on equipment, reducing service life. By implementing intelligent control systems and variable speed drives (VSD), energy consumption can be significantly cut, leading to lower operating costs and a reduced carbon footprint.
