VDMA Pumps + Systems Selects Nicolaus Krämer as New Chairman

Nicolaus Krämer is the new Chairman of the VDMA Pumps + Systems Association. The members elected the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer of HERMETIC-Pumpen GmbH to his post at the general meeting at the end of April.

They appointed Dr Stephan Bross, Chief Technical Officer of KSB SE & Co KGaA, as Deputy Chairman. The entire board of VDMA Pumps + Systems consists of a total of 15 personalities from the pump industry.

Nicolaus Krämer has been committed to the interests of the pump industry for years - until now as chairman of the Pumps Economic Committee. He sees the focus of the next few years in the further internationalisation of the association, the opportunities of digitalisation for the industry and the challenges of climate protection. He sees concrete opportunities for the industry in particular in the "Manufacturing-X" initiative, which is to enable the establishment of a secure and independent online data room for product and production data of the German and European industry. Krämer is also striving to advance the work of the digitalisation working group under the leadership of VDMA Pumps + Systems in the European industry association EUROPUMP.

VDMA Pumps + Systems represents the interests of more than 110 manufacturers from this sector, vis-à-vis operator organisations, the public, national and international authorities and other business circles. The association is integrated into the VDMA network with regional associations and central departments and is oriented towards the needs of the industry.
