Sulzer Appoints New Division President Sulzer Metco

Sulzer has appointed César Montenegro, currently Head of the Business Area North America of Sulzer Pumps, as new division president of Sulzer Metco and member of the executive committee of Sulzer.

César Montenegro has a long and successful track record with Sulzer. He will assume his new role in mid-August 2008.

César Montenegro (55), Venezuelan citizen, has a proven track record in leading and growing complex businesses, energizing people and increasing performance. César Montenegro began his career at Sulzer in 1978, has held various general management positions in Switzerland and the USA and acted as Managing Director for Sulzer in Venezuela and then in Mexico. Since 2002, César Montenegro is Head of the Business Area North American of Sulzer Pumps, responsible for manufacturing, sales, and services. César Montenegro has graduated from the University Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with post-graduate studies in Business Engineering.
