Ruhrpumpen Inaugurates a Modern Manufacturing Plant in India to Address the Needs of its Customers

Ruhrpumpen continues to expand its customer-focused solutions and services with its new manufacturing plant located in the SIPCOT, Vallam Vadagal Industrial Park, 36 km southwest of the city of Chennai, India.

Ruhrpumpen made its first investment in India in 2009 and commenced production in Chennai in 2010. Since that time, RP has been expanding its capabilities and production profile.

The new, purpose built facility arranged over a plot size of 10,000 square meters is equipped with comprehensive manufacturing capability and a sophisticated test-lab and offers a technically advanced center for the assembly of all of Ruhrpumpen’s product range.

The new plant will provide highly engineered pumping equipment to the local market and to neighboring countries, positioning RP as the supplier of choice in the region.

Cesar A. Elizondo Garza, chairman of the company advised a press conference in Chennai earlier this month “Nearly 80 percent of products manufactured from the Chennai plant will be exported to clients in Middle East, West Asia and South-East Asia, and the remaining sold in the domestic market,”
