Pentair Completes Acquisition of Rocean

There was great joy when Mona Neubaur, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, presented the NRW.Global Business AWARD 2024 to Flender CEO Andreas Evertz on June 24th. Flender was one of four winners honored at the 20th anniversary of the AWARD at the K21 Ständehaus in Düsseldorf.

The Wilo Group was honoured three times with the German Brand Award at a ceremony yesterday in Berlin. Gold in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Brand Communication – Storytelling & Content Marketing” went to the “Scoring for Sustainability” campaign, which Wilo launched together with Borussia Dortmund. Together, the sports club and technology company want to place the importance of sustainability even more firmly at the centre of public attention.

At the ACHEMA Opening on 10 June 2024 German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Dr Robert Habeck, and thought leaders from the financial sector, the chemical industry and suppliers pointed out how the process industry is positioning itself within new global framework conditions. Their conclusion: The process industry is vital for the transformation of the economy and society as a whole and international cooperation is the order of the day to overcome the manifold challenges.

The Wilo Group focuses all its business activities on sustainability. This is revealed in the multinational technology group’s latest sustainability report. Wilo recently defined a new, comprehensive sustainability strategy, which now takes precedence over all other functional corporate strategies. The report documents Wilo’s progress in realising ambitious targets by 2030.

In 2023, the Frankenthal-based pump and valve manufacturer KSB achieved its highest ever order intake and sales revenue. At 7.9 %, the EBIT margin exceeded its expectations for the financial year. At the Annual General Meeting on 8 May, Dr Bernd Flohr, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed his satisfaction in view of the persistently difficult economic conditions.

The 17th German Sustainability Award (GSA) will once again honour companies in 2024 whose international cooperations are aligned with the sustainability goals of the global Agenda 2030. The GSA is thus continuing its cooperation with the multinational technology group Wilo, whose President & CEO Oliver Hermes is joining the foundation’s Board of Trustees.
