Blue Zulu Ltd today announced the launch of its new publishing armBZ Engineering Briefings, a specialist publisher of market intelligence for the pump and related industries.

BZ Engineering Briefings will mark its launch with the publication of Pump Industry Briefing 2008, a new report providing unparalleled insight into the world’s leading pump manufacturers.

The Pump Industry Briefing 2008 is a detailed analysis of the state of the world’s leading pump manufacturers. The 190-page report includes details of 40 leading companies’ activities, products and markets; reviews each company’s history, and assesses the strengths and weaknesses of their strategies. The most recent financial performance figures for each company are presented in comparable formats and analysed in relation to their competitors.

Included in the report is an overview of the present state of the pump industry, identifying the trends in all the major pump enduser industries and the companies to watch in the near future. More than 550 companies are referred to in the report and these are all cross-referenced in a comprehensive company index.

The author, Mark Purvis, comments: “The pump industry is emerging into a new era as political, economic and environmental factors reshape the world’s pump markets. The overall market for pumps is growing strongly but to exploit that growth companies have to adapt their strategies to new markets and regions. This report provides a wealth of comment and analysis outlining the strategic focus of each company. It will provide useful pointers for the future strategic planning of pump manufacturers and suppliers to the pump industry.”

The Pump Industry Briefing will be updated every year. Additional companies will be added in each edition and all the analysis and financial data will be brought fully up to date. In addition to the regular Pump Industry Briefings, BZ Engineering Briefings is planning to release a series of specialist reports focusing on specific pump market sectors. The first of these will be the Guide to the Italian Pump Industry which will include brief profiles of more than 150 Italian pump companies. An invaluable resource for anyone with an interest in the global pump industry, this guide will help readers identify those small specialized family businesses that abound in Italy.
