New President of ITT Flygt

ITT Flygt AB announced that Per-Inge Birgersson will become the company’s new President, effective from June 4th 2003.

Birgersson began his career with ITT Flygt in 1979, at the company’s main factory in Emmaboda, in southern Sweden. After five years as a Project Manager, he left the company to work for Tetra Pak AB, working in Sweden, the US and Switzerland.

Following this, he held Managing Director positions at Bofors SA Marine AB, before returning to ITT Flygt in 2000, to manage the company’s largest growing market as Managing Director of ITT Flygt China, which doubled its turnover over the last three years.

Birgersson, who holds a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Lund Institute of Technology, will take up the position on June 4th 2003.

Change in the Executive Board of the Wilo Group

Weyers, who can look back on a long and successful career at Wilo, is leaving the company at his own request to pursue new professional challenges. He will be succeeded by Dr Patrick Niehr (50), who previously served on the Executive Board as Chief Change Officer (CCO).

Company Founder Ayhan Busch Celebrates Her 90th Birthday

Ayhan Busch, co-founder and co-owner of the Busch Group, was celebrating her 90th birthday on June 8. She is still active in the company, travels to manager meetings and welcomes guests, such as the Governor of the US state of Virginia recently. Just yesterday, she inaugurated the new “Central Park” on the grounds of the Busch headquarters in Maulburg, Germany.
