Mostra Convegno Expocomfort 2014: Where Energy Efficiency Meets the Market

09.01.2014

Mostra Convegno Expocomfort scheduled for 18th - 21st March 2014 at Fiera Milano, is once again offering an exhaustive overview of best-in-class products spanning the four macro-areas: Heating, Cooling, Water and Energy.

Leading companies, cutting-edge products and solutions for heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, valves, hardware, sanitary technology, water treatment, and renewable energy will be the undisputed protagonists of MCE 2014. The strength of MCE is in its consolidated international outlook: so far more than 1,600 companies have confirmed their participation, of which 37% will come from abroad, representing 51 countries.

Bolstered by the success of the 2012 edition (more than 2,100 exhibiting companies, 900 of whom were from abroad and 155,301 trade visitors, 35,342 of whom made their way to the show from 136 countries), MCE reaffirms its leading position within an industry segment providing ground-breaking solutions in terms of innovation technology, increasingly strategic in the current global economic scenario and that has been able to continue reinventing itself over the years to fulfill the overall needs of businesses, market and international trade professionals.

The concept behind MCE 2014 is Global Comfort Technology, a global event to be considered as a whole sketching out effectively the complex world of MCE, where all areas fit together to form a complex jigsaw puzzle, for a better understanding of the evolution of the market scenario. Energy efficiency, and high grade integration between building envelope and installation-technology, and buildings and cities, are required to create a new vision of building and dwelling, that is to say, a new market with very high economic potential, and more and better employment opportunities.

“The subdivision into four major thematic areas identifiable by the colours of the halls, besides facilitating trade visitors it has been very much appreciated by our exhibitors, declared Massimiliano Pierini, Business Unit Director of Reed Exhibitions Italia. The common thread running through the plant technology industry is energy efficiency. A cross-concept that for us is the pivotal significance of the show. MCE 2014 perfectly reflects the change in all our sectors, where new European and domestic regulations impose mandatory efficiency standards that meet the new demand for high-quality housing and construction. In fact, a new breed of professionals are growing with higher level of skills and training, to achieve high performing buildings.

Once again, the educational and professional upgrading will be one of the strengths of MCE thanks to the support of the Scientific Committee – made up of experts from the most authoritative trade associations and federations in the reference sector, and chaired by a representative of the Milan Polytechnic, Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering – providing topical issues that will act synergistically with a wide exhibition space. An opportunity not to be missed by all professionals, who every two years turn to MCE as the benchmark event.

Moreover, Reed Exhibitions Italia has decided to follow a more sustainable path applied to MCE 2014 that will be certified by ICIM, Independent Certification Body, in accordance with ISO 20121 “Events Sustainability Management Systems”. Complying with the specific requirements of ISO 20121 and key sustainability issues, from the design an delivery of events up to the choice of suppliers, the voluntary conformity will certify that the event has been planned to yield economic benefits respecting social and environmental principles.

Therefore, MCE 2014 is particularly rich in initiatives from THAT’S SMART, a new format that will fit inside the event – organized with the media partnership of DB Information – to show how power, and hydro-thermo-sanitary sectors are tied up with the energy management, up to the conference programme dedicated to Smart Plants, Smart Cities, “Percorso Efficienza & Innovazione” and “Oltre la Classe A”. Last but not least, an array of activities organized by the Associations partners, in particular the Anima centenary celebrations, as well as the exhibitors.
