MAKEEN and DESMI Sign Strategic Distribution Agreement

In a move that aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategic efforts to localize marine product manufacturing, Saudi Engines Manufacturing Company (MAKEEN) has entered into a pivotal distribution agreement with DESMI, specialized in critical flow solutions and pump technologies. This partnership will enhance local distribution networks across the Kingdom and, importantly, lay the groundwork for the future localization of DESMI’s marine product manufacturing in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement reflects both companies' shared commitment to boosting industrial capabilities, fostering local manufacturing, and advancing technological innovation.

As part of the agreement, MAKEEN will act as a distributor of DESMI’s advanced pumping systems and solutions within Saudi Arabia. This collaboration will strengthen MAKEEN’s product offerings, reinforcing its mission to deliver world-class solutions that support the marine sector in Saudi Arabia.

Sulaiman Ababtain, Chairman of MAKEEN’s Board, emphasized the strategic importance of the collaboration with DESMI, stating, “This partnership marks a significant step forward in the development of Saudi Arabia's maritime sector." It will enable the localization of advanced industrial technologies and promote industrial innovation.
