Lewa-Nikkiso Acquires Integrated Process Technologies (IPT)
At the end of March, Lewa-Nikkiso America took over Integrated Process Technologies, Inc. The Massachusetts based company specializes in engineering, design, and manufacture of high purity process systems.

IPT has a proven track record of delivering design-build projects for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets with particular expertise in process/mechanical and process/automation systems integration. Since 2008, there has been a collaborative agreement between IPT and Lewa s US subsidiary. This partnership has provided Lewa with access to the North American biopharmaceutical downstream systems markets.
Since 2000, IPT has focused on a customer base of OEM and end users in the Life Sciences industries. IPT’s diverse process expertise spans full life-cycle knowledge of upstream and downstream process technologies as well as high purity process utilities.
"The acquisition of IPT will complement the existing competence of Lewa-Nikkiso in this field, increasing the corporate value of the group," explains Naota Shikano, CEO of Lewa. "Together, we want to act worldwide in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology markets and develop a new generation of downstream systems leveraging Lewa-Nikkiso’s fluid technology expertise."
