Introducing Inline Vertical Multistage Pumps

25.01.2002

Kirloskar Brothers Limited, (KBL), India's largest manufacturer and exporter of pumps, is introducing the new IL range of inline vertical multistage pumps manufactured in pressed stainless steel sheet metal - the first pressed stainless steel pump range from Kirloskars.

Introducing Inline Vertical Multistage Pumps

KBLS's new inline vertical multistage pumps

This high-tech IL range of pressed stainless steel pump is comparable/superior to the best in the world in terms of Product Performance as well as Reliability. It is backed by the prompt and responsive network of Kirloskar Brothers Limited across the country.

This range finds application in building industry in booster sets and firefighting applications, boiler feed, condensate, demineralised water and hot water handling, Reverse Osmosis plants and water treatment plants, industrial washing systems, irrigation systems, cooling and lubrication works, and handling purified water in food/dairy/pharmaceutical industries.

The pumps are available through the dealer network of KBL's Industrial Pumps Business Group. These pumps have durable and lighter parts of high quality material like stainless steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic. Substantial efficiency improvement is achieved through ultrasmooth hydraulic passages of components. Low noise level and efficient sealing by means of O-rings are other features of these pumps.

These pumps are manufactured at KBL's state of art manufacturing plant at Shirval which is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Multi screw pump moves highly viscous heavy oil at low NPSHa

22.02.2024 -

At a tank farm in a Brazilian sea port, two centrifugal pumps were used for transferring heavy oil from storage tanks to road tankers or vessels until February 2020. This required the high viscosity of the medium to be reduced by means of diesel injection, costing the owner at least 2,000 US dollars each day. In addition, the centrifugal pumps regularly broke down due to cavitation damage. The owners decided to initially replace one of the two centrifugal pumps with a NOTOS multi screw pump from NETZSCH. Due to its very good suction capabilities, the selected four-screw 4NS is also suitable for highly viscous media with up to 200,000 cSt, achieving a flow rate of up to 3000 m³/h.
