Pump users, planners and tradesmen know the problem: if you want to find a suitable pump based on operating data and compare technical details, the websites of the manufacturers usually offer powerful tools, but only for their products. If you want to extend the search to several manufacturers and compare the products, this quickly becomes a time-consuming and laborious undertaking. This is exactly where impeller.net comes in. The open platform directly accesses the manufacturers' data via an interface and offers users all information clearly arranged on a single website.

The application is very simple: interested parties enter the operating data and keywords for the area of application or the design and are shown suitable pumps according to their specifications. These can be sorted and filtered according to various criteria. The next step is to select the available options in the configuration, such as material design or connection. An especially helpful feature is the possibility to compare pump models directly with each other.

Once the right pump has been found, the system immediately checks whether the product is available in one of the connected web shops (e.g. Ebay, Amazon, special pump web shops, web shops of the manufacturers). If necessary, an order can be placed there immediately. This newly integrated interface offers users the advantage of direct contact with retailers. Alternatively, interested parties can get in touch with the manufacturer via a request for quotation.

The selection and configuration of the pumps is based on the successful software technology of Spaix 5, offering users the full performance capability they already know from many manufacturer tools.

Many products from the fields of heating, water supply and irrigation, wastewater and sewage transport, drainage and industry are included right from the start. The range of products is continuously expanded by integrating further manufacturers.

The advantage for the manufacturer is obvious: the impeller.net platform provides an additional sales channel to reach new customers. The direct web service integration eliminates the need for additional data maintenance.

Retailers also benefit from the offer. Shops only have to maintain price information without having to worry about updating technical data. The various integration options make it very easy to present your own range of products in the environment of an established website specializing in pump technology.

"We are convinced that we will revolutionize the pump distribution by providing an open platform into which both manufacturers and sellers can integrate. It has never been easier for manufacturers, sellers and buyers of pumps to find each other", explains Jens-Uwe Vogel, Managing Director of VSX - VOGEL SOFTWARE GmbH. "Our new offer provides a comfortable, cross-manufacturer information system for pumps, which leads the user through to a competent product decision and right up to a specific supplier".

In addition to the PumpSelector, the impeller.net Internet portal, established on the market since 2001, was completely revised and has been online in its new design since the end of January 2020. The website offers even more interesting content. Among other things, it is one of the world's leading sources of information for the pump industry and has a German and an English magazine page. Besides the editorial content, which includes the latest news and trends from industry and science, the website provides a company database, an event calendar and a job market, where companies can place pump-specific job offers in line with their target groups.
