IFAT — International Interest Stronger Than Ever

An impressive number of repeat bookings, lots of new exhibitors and a high level of international participation: The signs are looking good for IFAT, which takes place from May 30 to June 3, 2016 at the Messe München exhibition center.

IFAT — International Interest Stronger Than Ever

IFAT takes place from May 30 to June 3, 2016

"We have around 200 companies wanting to exhibit at IFAT for the first time," explained Stefan Rummel, Managing Director at Messe München and responsible for IFAT. "In addition to that over 90 percent of the exhibitors from the last event have already signed up for 2016. That is truly impressive and we are of course delighted about this."

In 2016, the world’s biggest environmental technology trade fair will again be taking up all the available exhibition halls and a part of the open-air site at Messe München — in total 230,000 square meters. "We are seeing another rise in demand for space as compared to 2014," said Rummel. The level of interest from companies from outside Germany is particularly notable, he remarked: Not only are more of them applying for individual booths at the show, there is also an increase in the number looking to access this market by exhibiting at a joint stand.

This extremely positive response from the exhibitors not only highlights the high status enjoyed by IFAT within the sector, it also bears witness to the ongoing immense potential that there is in the environmental technology sector. All of which holds great promise for the participants at the upcoming IFAT in 2016.
