Grundfos will be participating at Expo Zaragoza 2008 focusing on innovative pumps and sustainability.

The environment and sustainability are this century’s most important subjects for global debate and one of the most serious scientific and political challenges ever to face the international community. The focus is on creating a sustainable future within the fields of global warming, CO2 emissions and water and energy consumption.

Expo Zaragoza 2008 from 14 June to 14 September is one of the most important events focusing on sustainability. This international exposition is placing particular emphasis on water and future use of water resources with the theme: Water and Sustainable Development.

Grundfos at Expo Zaragoza

As the world’s leading manufacturer of pump systems, Grundfos is naturally heavily involved in Expo Zaragoza 2008. Grundfos is one of the main sponsors of the international exposition and has the opportunity to demonstrate its commitment and approach to developing new and sustainable methods of managing natural resources, including the supply of water.

As a sponsor of Expo Zaragoza 2008 Grundfos has its own pavilion, in which the theme is: Grundfos brings water to life. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the journey of water from below ground through homes and industry and back into nature in a 3D cinema which allows visitors to experience something quite out of the ordinary.

Furthermore, Grundfos is the preferred supplier for the international exposition and is supplying a total of 267 pumps and pump systems. As a preferred supplier, Grundfos will be supplying water to the numerous exhibits at Expo Zaragoza 2008, thus contributing to spectacular experiences involving water while keeping the energy consumption of pumps to a minimum.

About Grundfos

Founded in 1945, Grundfos’ main aim has been to ensure the efficient and reliable supply of water, be it drinking water, water for agricultural purpose or water treatment and water for industrial processes. Today, Grundfos is a major international company, engaged in human, social and environmental issues.

Through product development, Grundfos is continuing to work to reduce the amount of energy needed to operate the company’s products. Grundfos pumps sold in 2006 accounted for a total energy saving of 532 million kWh. That corresponds to the annual consumption of 118,000 Western households and also resulted in reduced CO2 emissions. This demonstrates that Grundfos is an important player when it comes to sustainability and the environment.

Grundfos continues to focus on innovation, which puts the company in an excellent position to be able to supply pumps around the world that take into consideration the environment and the global population. Thus, Grundfos is well able to satisfy future markets with changed needs and requirements in a globalised world where there is greater focus on the sustainability of water and energy consumption. Grundfos’ future lies in water and sustainability.
