Seneca Falls, NY - Goulds Pumps, one of the fluid businesses of ITT Industries, has introduced the new Vogel ICB close-coupled chemical process pump. The ICB Series is an extension to the IC series ISO 5199 frame mounted chemical pump series. These new pumps provide a compact and economical pumping solution ideal for OEM applications and confined spaces in industrial processes. The ICB range includes 25 pump sizes, which are capable of flows up to 450 m3/h (1980 GPM) and heads up to 150m (492 feet). ICB pumps are suitable for service temperatures ranging from –40°C to 140°C (-40°F to 284°F) and operating pressures up to 16 bar (230 psi).
ICB pumps can be mounted to any standard IEC motor with a B5\VI mounting flange up to 37 kW (50 HP). The pump is coupled to the motor utilizing a key driven Duplex Stainless Steel stub shaft engineered for maximum strength and corrosion resistance. No spacer coupling or alignment is required, reducing capital equipment costs and simplifying installation and maintenance.
The same World-Class hydraulic designs offered with the IC series are shared with the ICB pump. Precision cast enclosed impeller provide maximum efficiency and low NPSH while maintaining low hydraulic loads, critical in the closed-coupled arrangement. Pump casings are back pullout design and dimensionally comply with ISO 2858\DIN 24256. Maintenance and retrofitting the ICB into existing piping systems is simplified. Optional casing wear rings are also available for renewable pump performance and extended pump life.
ICB pumps are fitted with our patented Cyclone Seal Chamber, proven to provide the optimum sealing environment for extended mechanical seal life. The Cyclone seal chamber features an oversized tapered bore seal chamber with two helical grooves preventing solids and vapors, often present in process liquids, from accumulating in the seal area. The open, tapered bore design provides effective cooling of the seal faces, often without the use of auxiliary seal flushing systems.
The ICB is available with a variety of mechanical seal designs and material combinations to satisfy the sealing requirements for a broad range of services.
Component interchangeability between the IC and ICB design has been maximized to reduce spare parts inventory. ICB pumps are available in ductile iron, 316 Stainless Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel. A host of options including both DIN and ANSI flanges.
