Ebara Environmental Plant Joins Clean Ocean Material Alliance (CLOMA)

Ebara Environmental Plant Co., Ltd. (head office: Ota-ku, Tokyo; president and representative director: Yoshio Watanabe), an Ebara Corporation group company, joined the Clean Ocean Material Alliance (“CLOMA”).

Recycling plastic waste into resources is important in the efforts for the global warming as well as for the reduction of fossil fuel consumption. Ebara Environmental Plant has developed technologies for the chemical recycling of plastic wastes. They will contribute to solve the problem of plastic wastes including marine plastic wastes, which are becoming the global issue. They effectively use the proprietary technologies of Ebara Environmental Plant through their involvement with CLOMA, an alliance to facilitate the sustainable growth across industries.

CLOMA was established in January 2019 with the goal to solve the problem of marine plastic wastes, a rising global environmental issue. Currently, about 260 companies and organizations are members of CLOMA.
