Colfax Fluid Handling has delivered end of 2014 three Allweiler propeller pumps to a German chemical company. The pumps will move sodium sulfate.

Colfax Fluid Handling Delivers Propeller Pumps for Chemicals

Cordenka GmbH & Co. KG, based in Obernburg, Germany, is the world s leading manufacturer of technical fabrics and cords. The company also produces sodium sulfate, which is sold to the detergent and glass industries. Since the end of 2014, the company uses three additional new propeller pumps from Allweiler GmbH for these processes. The pumps move saturated sodium sulfate at a rate of 750 m3/h; delivery head is 3.5 m. Beside these new pumps Cordenka use since years about 100 Allweiler pumps, mainly 3-screw and centrifugal pumps. Allweiler propeller pumps are used since 2013. Additional new orders are expected.

According to Gunter Connert, Allweiler s sales manager in Germany: "Our propeller pumps are proven in the chemical industry for large-capacity applications of up to 50,000 m3/h. Cordenka is one of the companies that have been using Allweiler pumps for a long time and has recommitted to Allweiler based on its positive experiences.“
