Atlas Copco inaugurates a state-of-the-art facility for rental customers in Europe.

The brand-new building in Boom, Belgium, will serve as the main competence center for Atlas Copco’s rental business in the region, supporting its network of 50 depots and customers all over Europe. It will also be the new headquarters for the Specialty Rental division in Atlas Copco’s Construction Technique business area.

“This modern facility will further strengthen our position in Europe as a total solutions provider of temporary air, power, steam and nitrogen solutions to manufacturing, oil and gas, power and mining customers,” said Andrew Walker, Business Area President of Construction Technique.

Atlas Copco has invested MEUR 5 (MSEK 50) in the facility, where about 80 employees will work. It is built to create maximum efficiency while at the same time being highly ergonomic for the workers. The building also meets top environmental standards by featuring for example solar panels and rain water recuperation for machine cleaning.
