The new Wrench App, available in Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store, streamlines the field servicing and management of Armstrong’s equipment. It offers mobile first tools for setup, configuration, commissioning, operation and asset location, and it eliminates manual data entry and multidevice needs.
Paired with Armstrong Fluid Technology’s Envelope Core, Wrench enables real-time data to flow across the Envelope platform. Envelope Core tracks and analyzes equipment data to detect issues early and provide actionable insights. Enhancements to Armstrong’s Design Envelope Pumps Controller (DEPC) enable these tools to integrate with the Envelope Platform.
Envelope Advisor leverages existing building systems data, benchmark performance, and provide operational insights for continuous improvement. Envelope Advisor delivers building and portfolio-level performance auditing and Automatic Fault Detections and Diagnostics – in compliance with both ASHRAE Guideline 36 and NABERS reports– to provide efficiency improvement insights and recommended actions to achieve high performance and best in class sustainable operations..
“With these next-generation tools, we’re redefining the possibilities to maximize Smart Buildings operations ” said Carlos Chamorro, Offering Manager, Platform & Ecosystem at Armstrong Fluid Technology. “From selection and commissioning to optimization and insights, the Envelope Platform empowers owners and operators to elevate their assets sustainability with flexible IoT connectivity, built-in intelligence, and end-to end security.”
All Envelope services are delivered via a Zero Trust cybersecurity architecture, leveraging MQTT protocol, ensuring secure, IT-compliant connectivity without the need to have VPN connections or open inbound firewall ports.
Enhanced Design Envelope Controller Features Include:
- Extended thermal range up to 158°F/70°C
- Streamlined commissioning, configuration, and monitoring via the Wrench App
- Optimization via performance model mapping and digital twins
- Advanced analytics and real-time data sharing
- Reduced downtime through digital lifecycle support
“These enhancements reaffirm Armstrong Fluid Technology’s commitment to helping facility management and smart buildings professionals maximize efficiency, simplify operation, and future-proof HVAC systems with intelligent equipment and ESG compliant services,” Chamorro added.
