The purpose-built, three-storey facility in the town of Bandar Rimbayu will serve as the production centre for the company’s Kingfisher remote telemetry units (RTUs) and as a regional hub for technical support, repairs, training, sales, finance and marketing. Housing around 25 staff, the site also includes a new warehouse for components and completed goods.

Ovarro has had a presence in Malaysia for 25 years, and in its current region for the last five. This has facilitated supply of advanced technology to water utilities across the country, including RTUs and leakage reduction solutions. With the relocation of Kingfisher production to Malaysia, and an expanding product range, the company recognised the need for a larger, better-equipped facility to maintain its high standards of customer service and product delivery.

Designed with growth in mind, the facility includes space for additional personnel as Ovarro expands, supporting both customer demand and employment opportunities.

Craig Abbott, channel sales manager, said: “This new facility places Ovarro at the heart of Malaysia’s growing water business centre – a strategic investment in the future for our company, our customers and the Asia Pacific region.

"For our customers, we can now provide enhanced local technical support, faster repairs, training for end-users and strengthened sales and marketing services for channel partners. We look forward to connecting technologies to create a brighter, more sustainable future.”
