New Service Shop for Energy Company in Abu Dhabi

1. Background

EBARA is optimizing its global service network by expanding and consolidating its bases in order to transform the energy segment into a growth business well-adapted to the changes happening in the business environment, including carbon neutrality and energy transition, under its medium-term management plan, E-Plan 2025. The establishment and expansion of new service shops is part of this strategy.

2. Overview

(1) New Service Shop to be Established in Abu Dhabi
In order to meet the demand for service in the Middle East Gulf countries and neighboring countries, we have decided to establish a new service shop in Abu Dhabi. EBARA positions the Middle East and Asia as a growth region in the energy sector, and expects the demand for service and support (S&S) for compressors, turbines, and custom pumps to increase further in the future. In addition to the service shop for custom pumps already in operation in Saudi Arabia and the service shop for compressors and turbines that started operation in 2023, the new shop will enable EBARA to respond to the growing demand for service.

(2)Expansion of Flagship Location in Houston
Houston, Texas, is a key location for the energy sector and is expected to continue to grow with strong customer and market demand. In order to provide more advanced and prompt services for rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors and turbines, we have decided to expand the capacity of our existing service store, which is scheduled for completion in June 2025.

Expansion Details:
Expansion of the existing facility from approximately 7,000 square meters to
approximately 9,300 square meters. Plans to increase the number of employees by
more than 20, creating local jobs and contributing to the community.

3. Future prospects

EBARA's Energy Company's vision is “to be the best solution provider by offering superior equipment and services in the energy field,” and with compressors, turbines, and custom pumps as its core products, the Company will continue to build and consolidate S&S bases to meet customer demand.

Progress to date in “Optimization of Global Service Network through Expansion and Consolidation of Bases“
As part of the integration of sales and service functions for compressors and turbines and custom pumps, we established our first service shop in Indonesia, which covers both pumps and compressors and turbines, and started operation in May 2024. This new service shop will meet the growing demand for service in the region.

In response to customers moving their operating bases and markets to other regions, we have also implemented the consolidation of our service stores in Burlington, Canada and Guatemala at the end of September 2023 and March 2024, respectively. This will allow us to optimize our service network and establish a structure to efficiently serve our customers, while improving the profitability of our S&S business.
