Atlas Copco has appointed Anna Sjörén as its new Vice President Sustainability.

Change at the top of Siemens Process Automation: as of October 1, 2022, Axel Lorenz (54 years old) has taken over as the new CEO of Process Automation at Siemens. Previously, the engineering graduate acted as Vice President Control in the Factory Automation business unit at Siemens.

Sami Riekkola (M.Sc. Eng.) has been appointed Business Line President, Pulp and Energy, at Valmet as of October 1, 2022. Sami Riekkola currently holds the position of Business Line President, Automation Systems, at Valmet. In his new position, he will continue as a member of Valmet’s Executive Team reporting to President and CEO Pasi Laine.

Effective 1 July 2022, Mirko Pannwitz has been appointed new Managing Director for Sales and Service at electric actuator manufacturer AUMA Riester GmbH & Co. KG. He succeeds Ferdinand Dirnhofer as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). After more than 30 years of successful work for the AUMA Group, Mr Dirnhofer has decided to leave the management at his own request.

At the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting in April 2023, the Board of Directors of GF is to propose Ms. Michelle Wen for election as new board member.

Based in the UK and reporting to Peter Thomsen, Director, Building Systems, Parry will be responsible for defining, developing and delivering Armstrong’s suite of solutions for distributed energy networks (Heating and Cooling).

Effective July 1, Karen Ohland has begun her term as the 141st president of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society announced during its annual meeting in June. Ohland is an ASME Fellow and has been an active member of the Society since 1983.

Mark Fletcher, global water leader at Arup and an Arup Fellow, has been announced as British Water’s new chair. The appointment was announced at the trade association’s annual general meeting on 28 July 2022 and comes as Chris Loughlin steps down from the role.

Ms. Katri Hokkanen (M.Sc. Econ) has been appointed CFO at Valmet as of August 1, 2022. She will report to President and CEO Pasi Laine. Katri Hokkanen has worked as Valmet’s interim CFO since May 1, 2022.
