Singapore International Water Week 2008 had attracted more than 8,500 delegates and visitors from 79 countries. The Water Expo, which has a total gross exhibition space of 12,000sqm, has more than 350 companies from some 40 countries exhibiting their products and services. The Singapore International Water Week has also seen more than $367m worth of business deals inked over the 5-day event. There were also strong turnouts at the 7 Country/ Regional Business Forums. So far, feedback from the delegates and guests has been very positive.

This is a proven platform in which many companies have found new businesses, forge partnership and made valuable high-level contacts. Never before an event can bring to you Ministers, Governors, City Mayors, Water Experts, Industry Practitioners, Public & Private Sectors Procurement Officials who are key decision-makers from the entire Asia in one single venue.

With the theme “Sustainable Cities – Infrastructure and Technologies For Water”, the Water Expo @ Singapore International Water Week is making its second staging to be held from 23 – 25 June 2009 in Singapore. Because of its very successful first staging, already more than 60% of the international and regional companies are returning to further tap on the buoyant water industry in Asia. Among them are prestigious and renowned companies like Asahi Kasei, Black and Veatch, CDM, CH2M Hill, Dayen, DOW, Hyflux, Keppel Corporation, Salcon, SembCorp Industries, Siemens Water Technologies, SUEZ Environnement, United Engineers, Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies, ITT, Borouge, Hydranautics-A Nitto Denko Company, Huber Technology, Severn Trent Services, KOCH Membrane, Optiqua, Boerger Pumps, Chevalier Pipe Technologies, just to name a few.
