The Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG clearly augmented its 2022 sales at 173 million by almost 20 percent year over year. As a result, despite more difficult conditions due to the ongoing delays in delivery chains, the mechanical engineering company succeeded in increasing its sales at home and abroad.

The segments agricultural technology, biogas, and pumps were the main drivers of sales growth. The company also managed to record a clear boost in sales with regard to spare parts.

“Our wide product portfolio and international orientation have been a source of great stability for us in the recent years of crisis. We are pleased that last year we were also able to launch more new products and modifications and set new sector impulses,” declared Harald Vogelsang, CEO of Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG.

To enrich the company with additional technical experts and young talents, the company recruited about 150 new employees worldwide last year, including 23 trainees.

Portfolio remains oriented to customer needs
The products launched last year include the largest industrial grinders from Vogelsang to date, the RedUnit XRL260, the new compact seal supply system Automatic Supply Unit, and the high-performance pumps of the EP and VY series. Likewise new: the HiCone progressive cavity pump with unique conical design and innovative adjustment system as well as the Debris Lift Unit for fully automatic heavy material disposal. In addition, the UniSpread universal linkage is now also available with a hosing system. The new ExaCut ECM precision distributor expands the portfolio with additional distributing technology without air suction.

This product diversity is Vogelsang's response to the market's pronounced demand for high-performance, tailor-made, and innovative solutions. Last year, the company was honored for the fourth time in a row as “Germany's Innovation Leader”.

Expediting digitalization and automation
In the next few years, Vogelsang plans to invest further in digitalization and automation: Robotics is intended to relieve the burden on highly qualified experts of routine work, enabling them to concentrate once again on their complex core activity. The company already deploys welding robots in sheet metal processing and plans the partially automated assembly of seals in the near future. In addition, Vogelsang is fitting its products with intelligent control technology to adjust operating parameters dynamically and in this way make machines and components even more efficient and durable.

Harald Vogelsang: “Supporting customers with our technology and expertise in their field of activity is our driving force. We are always working on improving products and processes through innovations. This is why we are continuing to invest heavily in research and development as the ‘source of our ideas’. In addition, we aim to further establish ourselves in markets like the chemical or food technology industry and also to expand our international presence and become more accessible to customers there.”

Moreover, the family company will be represented at several trade fairs this year, including AGRITECHNICA, from November 12 - 18, in Hanover and the Biogas Convention & Trade Fair, from December 12 - 14, in Nuremberg.
