Valmet to Deliver an Automation System Retrofit to Sabiya Power and Water Distillation Station in Kuwait

Valmet renews its sustainability reporting practices. Since 2013 the company has published an annual sustainability report in line with the international GRI framework and reported to several leading sustainability ratings.

Valmet’s Board of Directors has appointed Thomas Hinnerskov President and CEO of Valmet and he will start in the position during the second half of the year and at the end of September 2024 at the latest. Thomas Hinnerskov succeeds Pasi Laine, who will continue as the President and CEO of Valmet until his successor starts.

Valmet introduces the new Valmet Polymer Concentration Measurement (Valmet PCM), which is the first advanced optical inline polymer measurement for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, as well as pulp and paper processes. Real-time, continuous polymer concentration data creates new opportunities for process optimization, such as more accurate polymer dosage, savings in polymer usage, faster reaction to process disturbances, among others.

Valmet introduces a redesigned Valmet Rotating Consistency Measurement (Valmet Rotary) for pulp and paper producers. With the latest technology, a new user interface and easier maintenance, the transmitter continues to offer highly accurate fiber consistency measurement for critical applications.

Valmet has been ranked as the most attractive employer among engineering professionals in Finland according to a new study by Universum. The ranking was published in Universum’s annual survey, which is the biggest employer attractiveness survey in Finland.

Valmet will deliver a comprehensive package of critical valves and valve automation solutions to a lithium project run by Sibanye-Stillwater’s subsidiary Keliber Oy in Kokkola, Finland.
