Putzmeister Performance Line ‒ Quality, Experience and Concept go into Production

24.04.2014

The new Putzmeister Performance Line offers all the advantages of efficient pre-engineered production. It takes advantage from the synergy effects of performance optimization and preengineered concept design – focused on the essentials – for an optimal price-performance ratio.

Many years of experience show the best possible configurations. The Putzmeister Performance Line includes the engineering and planning work from countless projects – Made in Germany. Whether it‘s in general industry, mining, oil and gas production, power plant technology or dealing with sludge and biomass.

The pre-engineered system optimized for all types of solids

After 30 years of experience in transportation of sludges and materials which are difficult to pump, a machine technology was developed. The components are optimally selected and offer maximum functional reliability.

In the heart of the system, the KOS double piston pump is well suited for the delivery of high viscous and density sludges and media with a high percentage of coarse grain material. The main area of applications for the KOS series is for materials with extreme requirements, for example biological waste from household waste, recirculates from biogas plants, de-watered sludge, oil sludge, drillcuttings, thick solids with high viscosity.

The Performance Line system consists of the following components:

  • The pump: Hydraulically driven double piston pump with S-tube
  • The feeder unit: Electric frequency-controlled screw/screw mixer
  • The drive: Hydraulic power pack, CE and CI series; proven technology over 10,000 units
  • The control system: Modern automation and visual system
  • The accessories: Technically tested and supplied to industry standards.

The KOS double piston unit with S-tube pumps almost trouble-free, as a large discharge diameter permits foreign particles of 100 mm (KOS 1040) and up to 120 mm (KOS 1070) to pass through. It is designed for 24 hours/7 days operation with a high pump capacity (up to 60 m³/h) at low energy consumption. Optimized control ensures simple operation and visualisation, as well as simple integration into the maintenance control system.

In addition to the low operation costs the pump has a robust design with few wearable parts. This ensures that there are low maintenance costs. Also the design is service friendly with good access for maintenance activities. Due to the pre-engineered concept the system can be delivered with a short lead time. All the above contributes to the system having a low life cycle cost.
