With its new patented seal system for filling needle and filling pipe systems, valve producer GEMÜ has brought to market the first ever adaptation option for filling needles that ensures hermetic separation between the actuator and medium. This means that any lift effect and contamination of the medium can be avoided.

Czech brewery Velké Popovice relies on technology from KHS: at the heart of a new glass line is the Innofill Glass DRS ECO filler. Velké Popovice uses the unfilled beer to cool the vacuum pump and thus save energy. With the installation of the rest of the line’s dry section planned for the start of the coming year, the brewery is thus relying solely on KHS technology – that also includes a number of holistic digital service solutions.

After KHS first presented the Innofill Glass DRS ECO to the public in 2019, the machine now in operation at OeTTINGER has demonstrated that it considerably improves on the low consumption values originally given for this equipment. With it, the brewery in Mönchengladbach, Germany, saves on CO2, water, energy and space. At the same time, OeTTINGER benefits from improved quality in the filling process.

With a change in top management, ViscoTec is writing a new chapter in its highly successful company history. The long-standing Commercial Managing Director, Georg Senftl, will retire at the end of 2021. He will be succeeded on 1st July by 32-year-old Franz Kamhuber, who is currently responsible for global sales as Sales Director.

Proper hand washing is one of the big topics this year. More than ever, we are aware that hand washing prevents the transmission of many agents that cause infections.

Despite a special year behind us all, ViscoTec was able to celebrate a milestone in 2020. Since the company was founded, more than 100,000 pumps have been sold worldwide to date: 40,000 dosing pumps of the main brand ViscoTec and 65,000 dispensers of the preeflow by ViscoTec brand.
