After more than 30 years, Hanns-Henrik Vogel and Jens-Uwe Vogel, founders of the software company VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE GmbH, hand over the management of the company to Matthias Siegel, who will take over as Managing Director on April 1, 2024. The new owner Everfield also welcomes this decision and is actively involved in supporting Matthias with the resources and guidance to ensure a good and successful start.

Alfa Laval just published a brand new edition of the company’s renowned Pump Handbook. The 375-page handbook is free and contains scholarly information on basic pump functionality and in-depth guidelines for sizing and selecting the right pump type for optimum efficiency.

Customers of the Spaix pump selection software have something to look forward to: the latest version will be launched at the end of October. In addition to many new functions, the program’s performance has been further improved. Moreover, the manufacturer VSX – VOGEL SOFTWARE has paid special attention to the topic of sustainability in Spaix 6.

Government initiatives to reduce emissions are gathering momentum, especially with many countries aiming for net carbon zero by 2030 or 2050. The building and construction sector is a particular focus, as it accounts for a significant amount of global energy- and process-related CO2 emissions, approximately 37% in 2021(i).

Delegates at an international water industry conference learned that bearing selection plays a critical role in vertical turbine pump (VTP) performance, and that application, medium and bearing material should also be considered during pump manufacturing or refurbishment.

After almost two years of construction, the day finally arrived: The first pump was assembled at the NETZSCH Campus in Waldkraiburg and afterwards prepared for shipment. With the opening of assembly at the new location, the course was set for a successful corporate future: “Today is a milestone in the history of NETZSCH Pumps & Systems.
