New Sizes of the Tornado T2 All-Metal Rotary Lobe Pumps by Netzsch

05.11.2015

The smaller version of the Tornado all-metal pump T.Proc and T.Sano – eagerly awaited by the market – with delivery rate up to 8 m³/h and for back pressures from 8 or 10 bar and specifically developed for lower volumetric flows in the food and process industry, is now available.

This pump meets the high demands of chemical and hygienic industrial processes. Based on the motto "No maintenance is the best maintenance", the T T2 features extraordinary high performance while wear and maintenance have been reduced to a minimum.

The all-metal model was especially developed for the chemical sector, where the delivered media might attack rubber components; pump housing and rotary lobes are made from stainless steel or special steels. This means long-term process reliability is ensured, even with aggressive substances. The pump chamber design eliminates dead space, preventing product deposits and making cleaning easier, either manually or following the CIP process. This means the pump is ideally suited for hygienic processes.

The belt drive is a crucial improvement to the Tornado T2. In comparison to the gear drive, it is less prone to problems and allows for an even more compact design. However, above all it does not need to be lubricated, as the pump manages completely without oil. In addition, the pump chamber has also been further developed. The rotary lobes are now fixed cleanly from the outside with quick-fit taper lock ringsets, which makes replacement easier. At the same time, no solids can be deposited on fastenings, as all rotary lobe surfaces are smooth; this means risks of clogging and blocking are successfully prevented.
