New High-Performance Butterfly Valve for the Industry

Neue Hochleistungsklappe Danaïs 150 für anspruchvolle Anwendungen in der Industrie

Manufactured with inside diameters of 50 to 600 mm, the new double-offset Danaïs 150 butterfly valves are capable of withstanding temperatures from minus 50 to plus 260 degrees Celsius depending on the quality of the medium.

The valves are sealed by either a PTFE ring or a metal profile ring. Both seat designs are such that they ensure bi-directional sealing. The sealing function is further enhanced if the seat is pressurised in the preferential flow direction. If the butterfly valve is not subjected to the full differential pressure, the pressure acting on the valve disc is lower and hence friction between the two elements reduced. This will increase the service life of the seat.

A mechanical travel stop is provided for proper disc positioning and to prevent seat damage due to the disc rotating beyond the closed position. The Danaïs butterfly valves are available with steel / stainless steel wafer-type or lug-type bodies suitable for installation between flanges of PN 10 to 25 or ANSI class 150. The top flanges and the shaft ends are in accordance with DIN ISO 5211. Therefore, it is possible to fit manual, pneumatic, hydraulic or electric actuators from any manufacturer.
