GWJ Technology GmbH, headquartered in Braunschweig, Germany recently introduced a new version of its SystemManager software application. The SystemManager allows for a fast and easy calculation of complete systems consisting of shafts, bearings and gearings. The software is an add-on component to GWJ´s popular eAssistant and TBK 2014 software solutions.

The SystemManager, which has been available since the end of 2012, is characterized by its simple and intuitive handling. The software can be used already during the design stage. The application is not limited to the development and re-calculation of gear unit series, but it is also suitable for a fast realization of special gear units or other complex systems.

In addition to multi-stage cylindrical gears and planetary gear trains, the software supports bevel gear drives with a shaft angle equal or unequal 90 degrees. Manual gearboxes or power-distributed transmissions are also possible. Load spectra can be defined on system level. Additionally, the SystemManager allows the calculation of eigenfrequencies including the Campbell diagram with critical frequencies and the consideration of meshing frequencies.

The SystemManager is an add-on software application to GWJ´s TBK 2014 and eAssistant software solutions. Thus, TBK 2014 and eAssistant will be used to calculate all individual components, for example the strength calculation of shafts according to DIN 743 or the calculation of cylindrical gears according to DIN 3990 or ISO 6336.

In addition to the calculation of adjusted bearing arrangements (e.g., angular contact ball bearings or tapered roller bearings) with non-linear bearing stiffness, the rolling bearing calculation can be expanded to include the calculation according to ISO/TS 16281 with the consideration of the inner bearing geometry.

The SystemManager provides an easy-to-use interface that makes it possible to work intuitively and effectively after only a short introduction - whether on a daily basis or from time to time.
