Lifetime Congress Parallel to ISH 2005

11.08.2004

ISH – International Trade Fair for Building and Energy Technology, The Bathroom Experience, Air Conditioning and Ventilation Technology (15 to 19 March 2005) – is to reinforce its coverage of the professional spa and wellness sector with the Lifetime Congress being held parallel to ISH for the first time.

The congress is part of Lifetime, International Trade Fair for the Professional Spa and Wellness Industry, which already holds an established place in Frankfurt's calendar of events. In the future, however, the fair and the congress will be held in alternate years.

Thus, the next Lifetime Congress will be held at the Congress Centre Messe Frankfurt from Thursday, 17 March, to Saturday, 19 March 2005. Visitors to the Lifetime Congress include, for example, hotel proprietors and managers, spa operators, specialist companies for furnishing the spa and wellness zones of beauty farms and clinics, and operators of health and fitness clubs. The congress will also be of interest to traditional ISH visitors, such as architects and suppliers of technical building equipment.

"We aim to make intelligent use of the synergies generated by the thematic association of an investment-goods fair, such as ISH, and a trade fair for the professional spa and wellness sector, such as Lifetime, at Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre. No other trade-fair venue can boast a concept of this kind. In future, visitors will be able to use ISH and the Lifetime Congress as a joint platform from which to discover the latest trends in both the professional spa and fitness sector and the sanitation field", explains Dr. Michael Peters, Member of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt GmbH.

Thus, Messe Frankfurt is in line with a trend common to both sectors, i.e., towards the presentation of subjects in their entirety and without concern for product-group demarcation lines. The sanitation industry is expanding more and more in the direction of equipment for the professional spa and wellness sector while the latter is looking increasingly in the direction of the investment-goods industry.

At the Lifetime Congress, renowned speakers will discuss the latest knowledge from the fields of:

  • Spa und Hotel Wellness
  • Corporate Health
  • Medical Wellness
  • Senior Health und Fitness
  • Medical Spa – Cures and Medicinal Baths
  • MICE Wellness Workshop
  • Property and Financing

In cooperation with world-famous designers, all market leaders present the latest bathtub, shower-divider, ceramic, bathroom-furniture and accessory trends at ISH, the leading international event for the sanitation, heating and air-conditioning sector. Here, in 'The Bathroom Experience', the wellness trend and the subject of 'well-being and relaxation' dominate the subject of the bathroom and its furnishings.

Located in Halls 1, 3.0, 3.1, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2, as well as the 'Forum' and the 'Festhalle' 'The Bathroom Experience' is one of the biggest product sections at ISH. For swimming pools and saunas, ISH has a separate presentation area taking up the whole of Hall 1.1.

Occupying some 250,000 square metres of exhibition space (gross), around 2,300 exhibitors will present their products and services to approximately 180,000 trade visitors at the ISH 2005.
