The pipeline is the first of its kind to be constructed in Oman. It connects the Mina Al Fahal and Suhar refineries located on the Gulf of Oman through a 280 km pipeline to an intermediate distribution and storage facility at Jifnain as well as a new storage facility at Muscat International Airport.

The pumps are operated in injection and gas oil return as well as in pipeline and collecting tank drainage service. The process pumps are of API types OH2, VS1 and VS4. They have cast steel casings and their shafts are made of forged alloy steel. 55 kW

2-pole and 4-pole three-phase motors are mainly used as drives.

The new pipeline network eliminates the need for transporting the refinery products by ship and truck. This reduces the traffic load in and around Muscat and benefits the environment.
