ITT Industries Names Robert M. Powers Vice President of the Corporation

ITT Industries, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has elected Robert M. Powers to the position of Vice President of the company. Powers is ITT Industries' Director of Investor Relations, responsible for interaction with the investment community.

He joined ITT Industries in December 2002, having spent the previous five years with Merrill Lynch, most recently as Director, Head of Business Services - Investment Banking Group.

Powers began his career with McDonnell Douglas, where he held a series of positions in manufacturing and finance. He later joined JP Morgan, where he worked until going to Merrill Lynch in 1997. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA from Harvard University.
