Hydromatic announces Two new 50 Hz grinder pumps

06.12.2001

Ashland, Ohio, USA – October, 2001 – Hydromatic is pleased to announce the introduction of two new submersible grinder pumps now available in 50Hz operation, the HPD200 and HPGR200. The new HPD200 50Hz submersible positive displacement, 2HP grinder is designed for low-pressure sewer systems.

This HPD200 grinder pump has a 1-1/4 inch NPT discharge pump with a vertical discharge that conquers capacities up to 17-1/2 gallons per minute and heads up to 220 feet.

The HPGR200 50Hz submersible centrifugal, 2HP grinder pump has heavy-duty ball bearings upper (radial) and lower (thrust) that continuously lubricate to ensure a long life. Both new 50Hz submersible grinder pumps don’t require any control panels due to the start capacitor in each of the pumps. Multi screw pump moves highly viscous heavy oil at low NPSHa

22.02.2024 -

At a tank farm in a Brazilian sea port, two centrifugal pumps were used for transferring heavy oil from storage tanks to road tankers or vessels until February 2020. This required the high viscosity of the medium to be reduced by means of diesel injection, costing the owner at least 2,000 US dollars each day. In addition, the centrifugal pumps regularly broke down due to cavitation damage. The owners decided to initially replace one of the two centrifugal pumps with a NOTOS multi screw pump from NETZSCH. Due to its very good suction capabilities, the selected four-screw 4NS is also suitable for highly viscous media with up to 200,000 cSt, achieving a flow rate of up to 3000 m³/h.
