Atlas Copco has acquired Precision Pneumatics Ltd and Wearside Pneumatics Ltd, two compressed air distributors and service providers in the UK.

Precision Pneumatics Ltd was founded in 1991 and is based near Liverpool, with presence in the North West of England. The company has 26 employees.

Wearside Pneumatics Ltd was founded in 1974 and is based near Newcastle upon Tyne, with presence in the North East of England. The company has 17 employees.

Both companies are privately owned by the same owners. They provide compressed air solutions to companies in all types of manufacturing industries, such as general manufacturing, electronics, automotive supply chain, food & beverage, and metal fabrication.“Both companies have strong sales and service coverage in highly dense industrial areas of the UK,” said Vagner Rego, Business Area President Compressor Technique. “The acquisitions will further increase our direct service and sales presence in those key areas and provide growth opportunities.”

The purchase price is not disclosed. The acquired businesses will become part of the Service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
