Armstrong Fluid Technology has announced an addition to its senior leadership team with the appointment of Alex Brunner in the newly created role of Director, Sales EMEA, India, Asia and Latin America.

Reporting to CEO Lex van der Weerd, Alex assumes responsibility for all sales functions of the company’s Building business in these territories with a key leadership role in accelerating market penetration of the company’s Design Envelope solutions.

Alex has in-depth experience in fluid systems and automation/control solutions for building applications. He joins Armstrong Fluid Technology from Honeywell, where he led the global valve and actuator business, developing the global product roadmap and channel expansion strategy for these products worldwide. Prior to that he was a member of Belimo’s Executive Board with responsibility for sales growth in Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa. He began his career with eighteen years in building automation sales at Landis & Gyr (Siemens) and Johnson Controls.

Alex, a Swiss national with both engineering and marketing/sales degrees will continue to reside in the Zurich area, but will travel extensively and spend considerable time at Armstrong Fluid Technology’s operations in the UK.
