Abel received a large order in March 2019 for the delivery of 14 diaphragm pumps.

A Mexican mining company commissions the German pump manufacturer to supply 14 hydraulic diaphragm pumps to be used for the transport of sulfuric acid-containing jarosite sludge in the course of zinc production.

The entire process of hydrometallurgical zinc extraction is also known as jarosite leaching.

This process separates iron and zinc by chemical precipitation. This is the most used process of zinc production worldwide.
