German Consul General Michaela Küchler Visits EKKI Pump’s R&D Facility

EKKI was honoured to welcome the German Consul General, Michaela Küchler, and senior German diplomats to its state-of-the-art R&D Centre in Coimbatore. During her visit, she was warmly received by Mr. Arumugam.P, CEO, and Kanishka Arumugam, Co-CEO of EKKI, and given an exclusive tour of the K2V Labs.

The visit showcased EKKI's successful collaboration with Germany, highlighting the profound advancements and technological innovations achieved through this partnership.

As part of the visit, Consul General Küchler witnessed the journey of EKKI's transformation into a globally competitive pump manufacturer from India, driven by its collaborative efforts with Germany. EKKI has forged an international joint venture alliance with HOMA, one of World's top five wastewater pump companies. Additionally, EKKI works closely with several technology partners and institutes in Germany.

The Consul General was provided with insights into the crucial role played by pumps and water technologies in various sectors such as agriculture, buildings, public utilities, and industries. Furthermore, she had the opportunity to engage with EKKI's R&D executive team and employees involved in pump development, further highlighting the company's commitment to innovation and excellence.

Consul General Küchler's visit served as a testament to the strong ties between EKKI and Germany, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in fostering innovation and progress. EKKI's R&D Centre, strategically located in Coimbatore, is situated at the heart of the company's three other manufacturing sites. EKKI's sustainable business model has gained recognition, becoming a case study at the world-leading INSEAD Business School.

Kanishka Arumugam, Co-CEO of EKKI, showcased to the Consul General the technological advancements and significant improvements that EKKI has made over the years in metallurgy, machining, finishing, and testing. Arumugam said “these advancements would not have been possible without the collaborations with Germany. These partnerships have propelled EKKI to become a globally respected and competitive pump manufacturer from India. EKKI looks forward to continuing its strong partnerships with Germany and other global technology leaders to further advance sustainable water solutions worldwide”.
